Dementia robs us of our ability to use our brain to help ourselves or others. My grandfather had Alzheimer’s Disease. I don’t know that he suffered much, but I saw how he lost his ability recognize family members. It was definitely an emotionally painful experience for us.
So, now I often think of how I and others can prevent this condition. In the next couple weeks, I will share how we can apply some of the research to reduce our risk, improve our brain function, and maybe even prevent or at least postpone brain damage and dementia through simple habits like specific physical and brain exercise and eating the right foods.
